Zone 2 | SMOOTH An endurance pace that can be sustained for extended periods of time with no accumulation of fatigue and no muscle soreness the following day. |
Zone 3 | STRONG A pace that is sustainable for an extended period with strong focus. Breathing rate has raised but you are not breathless. |
Zone 4 | VERY STRONG A pace that can be sustained for a set duration but is uncomfortable and requires very strong focus to maintain form. |
Zone 5 | HARD High intensity efforts for short duration of time. This will place the body under high stress and is an effort that is prescribed carefully to an athlete’s program. |
