Hip & Leg Stability

The hips play an integral role in leg, knee and ankle alignment, as well as creating a stable foundation for the spine.  Good strength and stability in the hips will allow you to access more power through your legs and will help protect your lower back from wear and tear. Be sure to check out the tutorials on the Strength Series if you are unfamiliar with any of the strength exercises.

GLUTE STABILITY PART 1

A quick hip assessment and a foundational exercise to help with glute strength and stability. Use daily as a pre and post training session warm up or include it into your core stability routine

GLUTE STABILITY PART 2

A great progression from part 1. In this episode we explore the one leg hip hinge and then add weight into the movement to develop greater strength and stability in the hips and the posterior chain.

MINI CORE 3
This session focuses on glute strength and stability. Great to do if you have sat all day. It is also a fantastic routine to do before you jump on the bike or go for. run to help improve neuromuscular control and economy.
MOVEMENT 13

This session focuses mainly on legs and hip stability. We include some dynamic movements between postures, and  we also challenge endurance. Please be mindful of the squat modification and skip this if you have a history of knee issues. Enjoy.

CORE 3
Todays session has a strong focus on hip strength and stability.
STRENGTH 6

This routine will focus on hip and leg strength. We have increased the reps slightly to work a little on endurance, so you may need to lower the weight to account for this. Move slowly, keep good form and enjoy.
