I initially visted Lawrence at his clinic last year due to having severe heel pain that prevented me from running. After having a negative experience with a podiatrist that left me questioning whether I would ever get to the bottom of the issue, Lawrence took great care in listening to my history, assessment of my physical stength and condition and used his wealth of knowledge to treat and provide a plan for me to get back to doing what I love, pain free! I used Lawrence for 4 months before my first half ironman triathlon and I could not recommend him enough. I went in with a foot injury and started with his run clinic where he gave great guidance on how I could improve my technique and ease my way back into running. I signed up for the weekly training plan, which kept me focused and disciplined. A highlight was shifting my mindset to train low-medium HR zones (which really helped sustain training and speed up recovery). I went into the race with a solid plan, from nutrition to timing and everything went perfectly on the day. Worth every penny! Lawrence has a wealth of knowledge, as well as personal experience competing in many tri/ running/ cycling events.

Lawrence gives you amazing guidance and options to adjust each posture to suit your ability. He clearly has a lot of knowledge on dynamic functional movement and the anatomy. Fast forward a year & I can sit here writing this review having completed the Tarawera 100 miler.

I came to Lawrence with a long term injury (plantar fasciitis) & a crazy plan to complete a 100 mile ultramarathon. Fast forward a year & I can sit here writing this review having completed the Tarawera 100 miler. Lawrence stripped back my running to basics, began treating my injury & through the Movement Project gave me the tools to improve my flexibility, balance & strength. On top of that Lawrence also provided nutritional advice & provides a holistic approach to his practice. Having done ultramarathons before I had fallen into the school of high volume training & often reached events feeling fatigued. Lawrence gave me a training plan that got me to the start line feeling fresh & ready to go without the need to complete huge volumes of kilometers. I also reached the start line injury free!! Not only that but I reached the finish line injury free & my recovery is going really weĺl.

As a triathlete you are always pushing the boundaries, so have had niggling injuries. I was recommended to see Lawrence at Clinic 25, as someone who is a professional who really knows his stuff, and I have not been disappointed! Lawrence offers an amazing stretching/yoga/movement session

Lawrence does an amazing stretching/yoga/movement session three times a week. This works perfectly for me, as not only can I do it from my own home I can also re-watch the recordings at my leisure. The classes are challenging but not too challenging to cause injury. I have noticed a dramatic improvement from these uniquely tailored moves that have targeting my posture, for both sitting at my desk all day and my running. He included variations for me when I was getting back into exercising after braking my ankle. I would 100% recommend! I also love the fact that if I have any questions he is more than happy to help

I have been having professional treatment from Lawrence at The Movement Project for more than a year now. I am an athlete participating in a number of sports and lead a very active lifestyle. Currently I am a Master in Athletics with my goal to compete in World Championship. I have had treatment for a persistent ankle injury, and Lawrence has proven to be the most professional and knowledgeable neuromuscular specialist I have had the pleasure dealing with. His knowledge as an athlete in his own right is vast. He freely offers advice and help in a number of areas that truly benefit not only the professional athlete, but the average person who wants to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. However, serious athletes on many levels would benefit from having Lawrence on their side. Having a regular program of treatment with Lawrence pre and post events is so beneficial, and boosts your performance. I also coach and train a young athlete whose goal is to represent NZ as a Decathlete at the 2024 Olympics. I have included regular fortnightly sessions with Lawrence as part of his journey. That has been hugely beneficial to him having suffered an unfortunate knee injury. He is now consistently achieving new PB’s and I have no doubt that he will represent NZ at the 2024 Olympics, and Lawrence and The Movement Project will have positively contributed to that journey and achievement. Recommended without any hesitation or reservation.

I sought assistance from Lawrence after 4 years of suffering from a chronic injury and several less than successful surgeries. My injuries had reduced both my mobility and my ability to participate in the activities I loved. Lawrence took the time to get to know me, and more importantly, found out what was important for me to be able to do physically. As well as assisting with the reduction in pain, Lawrence created a programme for me that increased my strength, enhanced my mobility, and gave me back the ability to participate in activities that I love & had previously been unable to do because of my chronic injuries. I’m not 100% yet, but Lawrence has also given me hope and belief that I will be able to enjoy all the activities that I used to be able to do, and then some! I saw Lawrence for regular sports massage in my build up to the Triathlon World Champs in 2014. I suffered from ITB Syndrome and generally tight muscles that come with the volume and intensity of training that I was engaging in. Regular Neuromuscular therapy is a key part of recovery, injury prevention and body maintenance in the lead up to any event and I knew that I was in good hands with Lawrence. He was extremely thorough in examining me before and after each session and he took the time to get to know my body and my injuries. I have been a regular client of Lawrence’s since April 2014. As a competitive athlete, I was in need of weekly exercise maintenance and neuromuscular therapy to keep me in form and allow me to train at my best. This is exactly what was delivered. I am back on my bike PAIN FREE after 12 years

I have been seeing Lawrence now for 6 weeks and cannot believe I have survived getting to my early 40s without having seen a Neuromuscular Therapist in the past. I have learnt a lot along the way in terms of the physiology about an old knee injury, previously having been told to put up with it for the past 12 years. Lawrence found my weakness immediately and went into developing a thorough and comprehensive list of daily exercises to rehabilitate the knee and muscles supporting it. This also included a full body warm up, re education on the importance of breathing and core stability. I noticed an improvement immediately. The best part of all is I am now easing back into riding my bike and looking forward to going on rides with my daughter who is about to get her first bike in the next month. I started receiving treatments from Lawrence following two and a half years of osteoarthritis hip pain and after having to give up twenty five years of netball and running. His weekly treatment was not a luxury, it was a necessity. He worked on fascial release, trigger points and postural analysis to increase the mobility of my severely damaged hip joint and consequent muscle tightness. Without his treatments I would not have been able to walk during the past two and a half years. Lawrence is a kind, professional, caring therapist with an abundance of knowledge. He keeps up to date with the latest developments both scientific and holistic, and helped me maintain some sort of semblance of mobility in the long wait up to my hip replacement.
